• Living Successfully Radio on hiatus.
• Living Successfully Productions leans toward Video.

With about two week's notice and no explanation, Gaiam, owner of LIME Radio and TV, chose to shut down both NYC-based broadcast operations.  Radio went dark on 2/13/08 and on 2/25/08, TV signed off.

Besides yourself and those you know who are experiencing transition these days, all of us who took part in Bill Turner's dream of a radio/TV network based on spiritual growth and consciousness found ourselves with...uh..."one less bell to answer" ( by the Fifth Dimension).

Unlike many 'changes' in broadcasting, I got to say goodbye...on the air! Usually such changes are less cordial, typically appearing in a small newspaper article.

LIME suggested we each produce a 30-second message telling listeners where they can still contact us.   You can hear mine here.

Though I didn't realize it, the last show I produced was with Brooke Medicine Eagle, a great Native American teacher.  After sending that show to Lime, and with three more live audience shows booked in Santa Fe, I got the "announcement".  

One of those last 3 shows was with Gregg Braden and there was time to get it produced and to NYC before 2/13, so, I rolled "goodbye" into that show here at Body of Santa Fe.  The program with Gregg Braden is available on CD.  However, due to a scheduling error, it never got on Sirius Satellite.  "Thanks Brooke and sorry, Gregg."

The radio talk show, Living Successfully, lived between impressive  bookends.  The first show was Easter, 1996 on WRVA, a 50,000 watt AM-Stereo station in Richmond, Va.  The guest was Dr. Wayne Dyer.  The final show was produced in Santa Fe, NM the last day of January, 2008.  My guest was Gregg Braden.

Between those bookends came three astronauts, healers of all sorts, business coaches and professionals, metaphysicians, paranormal investigators, great musicians and spiritual masters with messages of hope and encouragement.

At WRVA (the station I'd always admired), Program Director, Lou Dean said something I'll never forget, "Do whatever you want.  We figure you've made your mistakes at other stations.  We are hiring you because we trust you."

After several months producing a live, Saturday night oldies show, Lou complimented me again by asking, "How long do you think you can keep this up?" 

I can now answer his question.  For the oldies show, about five years and at least one show lives on at the Virginia State Library (#497-499).   This was a live show I did celebrating WRVA's 50th anniversary.

After a 3-year break to study metaphysics, the station welcomed me back to host a new talk show called Living Successfully.  I can tell Lou with certainty that show will run about 12 years because it just did.

More radio is questionable because something else is already calling.  (see below)

Before leaving Virginia for Colorado, then New Mexico, my message was to buy a video camera and good editing software.  Having produced video for many years, it made some sense so I found a professional, 3-chip camcorder...and now there are two...and lights...and....

It was never even a question what would be next: video.  You and I want to see.  It's fine to hear but video is the choice, when there is a choice.  So video production work for clients has been ongoing and now it seems there might be room for a televised version of a show with a  12-year foundation.

Video and Audio production and broadcasting will continue to be roles for Living Successfully Productions in helping the word go 'round.
